A Successful FASTSIGNS Graphic Design Artist/ Production Specialist will:

Design Creation: Utilize your artistic skills and knowledge of design principles to ensure designs meet visually striking and cohesive sign designs that meet client requirements.
Perform Pre-Production Preparation: Prepare artwork files for production, ensuring proper file formats, color modes, and resolution while adhering to production guidelines and specifications.
Production Execution: Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient execution of sign production, including printing, cutting, and assembly.
Will have or be willing to learn Signage Equipment Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge and experience working with signage equipment, including printers, plotters, and Graphtec cutters. This includes calibrating and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images.
Operate and maintain printer(s).
File Management: Maintain organized digital files and archive completed projects for future reference and reprints.
Communication: Collaborate closely with clients, sales representatives, and other team members to clarify design requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the production process.
Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces.
Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist:

1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more).
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work.
Ability to use light power equipment.
Proficiency in Design Software: Strong skills in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of file formats and color management.
Creativity and Attention to Detail: A keen eye for design, color, and composition, along with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and error-free production.
Knowledge of Signage Production Techniques: Familiarity with various sign production techniques, including digital printing, vinyl cutting, and installation methods.
Signage Equipment Expertise Preferred: In-depth knowledge and experience working with signage equipment, including printers, plotters, and Graphtec cutters. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and optimize equipment settings for high-quality output.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding of design requirements.

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
