Position Overview:

FASTSIGNS NE Calgary is looking for a lightning-fast, production-minded Graphic Designer. We need an Adobe Creative Suite powerhouse who can seamlessly bridge the gap between the design screen and the print floor, handling everything from complex file prep to running large-format printers.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • High-Speed File Prep: Rapidly set up accurate cut-paths, bleeds, and scaled files for vehicle wraps, channel letters, and parking signs using Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • RIP & Print Operation: Run RIP software to efficiently nest jobs, manage color, and send files to printers, and vinyl plotters.

  • Quality Control: Catch scaling and resolution errors before printing to minimize expensive material waste on rigid substrates and vinyl.

  • Production Support: Load media (including rigid boards for the printer), manage print queues, and occasionally help weed or mask graphics on the floor.

What You Need:

  • Adobe Speed: Expert-level proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop. You should rely on hotkeys and work efficiently without lagging on massive files.

  • Industry Experience: [1-3] years in large-format printing and custom signage.

  • Equipment Knowledge: Hands-on experience with printers, vinyl plotters, and RIP software.

  • Accuracy: A sharp eye for detail, ensuring flawless alignment and color output in a fast-paced environment.
