POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under general direction, this position is responsible for sign output and production, including preparing substrates and using the proper machines and techniques to print and build products. This includes printing and cutting a variety of flat panel substrates, pressure sensitive adhesive vinyl, and wide format paper products. Position will work individually, as well as with a team in production and fabrication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain the roll-to-roll and flatbed printers, vinyl cutters, and other machines.
- Set up and print graphic files using ONYX and Caldera RIP Software
- Maintain WIP and work flow to ensure production timelines are met.
- Consult with sales staff to provide accurate estimates of labor time and to set realistic deadlines.
- Maintain strong lines of communication with sales staff and promptly answer messages/questions. Accurately relay project details to sales staff and customers.
- Assist with general sign production duties as needed including finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, mounting or forming.
- Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
- Help unload and put away material shipments.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance functions to ensure the smooth running of printing and fabrication machinery.
- Support the rest of production when time allows.
- Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain high levels of productivity.
- Clean and maintain storage areas
- Assist in packaging and loading products for delivery or install.
- Participate in improvement initiatives by suggesting changes and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Advanced experience with various types of computer software and operating systems, including Windows and MacOS.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with ONYX and Caldera RIP software, and Prime Center is a plus
- Working knowledge of safe operation of power tools, general construction tools/methods, ability to measure, level, and cut straight lines.
- Good math and spelling skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for completing HIGH QUALITY projects efficiently.
- Detail Oriented
- Efficient at problem solving and creatively come up with solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand/kneel for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 75 or more pounds.
- Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a surface.
- Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
