And we have customers from all over Southern California from LA down to San Diego and out to San Bernardino, ranging from some of the largest names in Tech and Auto, down to schools, sports teams, and weddings.

WHAT is the role - Key Areas of Responsibilities:
  1. Sales/Business Development
    1. Independently source and generate leads with commercial customers, i.e. B2B sales, through in person meetings, networking events, conferences, door to door, whatever it takes to be top of mind for all their signage and custom branding needs
    2. Pitch and quote large complex projects that involve multiple customized solutions and services while maintaining healthy margins in your book of business
    3. Convert leads to customers through a detailed consultative sales process and close sales in our business management software system
    4. Maintain relationships and engage with existing customers to generate repeat business with an ever expanding order size
  2. Project Management
    1. Partner with customers on projects requiring extended coordination with multiple product and phased installation
    2. Work with the in-house graphics, production, and installation team members to ensure customer satisfaction with the finished products
    3. Coordinate with external vendors to ensure high quality product and work, as well as timely installation and delivery

Who YOU are:
  • HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF SIGN SALES EXPERIENCE. (We are looking for someone who already has a strong grasp of the basics of the sign world. We will train for any further gaps in knowledge both in house and through our corporate franchisor but expect you to come with a strong working knowledge of commercial signage business.)
  • You have a Great ATTITUDE: enjoy learning, work best in a team, and have a strong sense of personal accountability to create high level results for yourself and your team. (We can’t train attitude so other than sign experience, you HAVE to bring this to the table)
  • Enjoy problem solving to meet customer's needs, and go the extra step to help them create the best version of what their solution could look like (Our largest customers are repeat, and some have been with our sales team for years so service is key to our success)
  • Bold and relentless to create customer relationships and generate sales (We are still growing rapidly and plan to continue expanding for years to come so are looking to build a team who are aggressive and growth minded  to make that happen for the business as well as for themselves)
  • Keen service minded and can-do attitude (Things in the sign world from customer issues, vendors, property management, and even weather regularly keep the work challenging)
  • Fluent with Google's G-Suite (We use that heavily as part of our working environment so you need to be technologically proficient)
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs (You may need to help our with production, or delivery of graphics to the customer site, or else help customers load products into their vehicles from our store)
  • Can climb ladders (You may have to conduct site surveys at the customer site and do measurements as well as potentially oversee sign installations and inspections)
  • Have a valid driver's license (You will  have to do site surveys  at the customer site)

Other "nice" to haves that will put you on the top of our list:
  • Previous experience with CRM/Sales platforms especially Corebridge, as well as Hubspot
  • Track record of sales experience with high close rates and your own sign customer list
  • Combination of BOTH sign sales and sign production/installation experience
  • Outside sales experience, especially in signs, so able to produce professional draft drawings and presentations to large commercial customers

This position is NOT for you if:
  • You don’t have commercial sign sales experience (We may have other positions open, please check)
  • You don't get excited to engage and build relationships with customers, and would rather stay isolated in front of a screen in a quiet corner
  • You're not comfortable asking for the sale and close potential orders, and are afraid of rejection. Thick skin is required both with the sales and project management aspects of the role
  • You don't like being creative and prefer to read a script every single day with a set routine
  • You are not looking to generate, i.e. hunt, for new business daily and be creative about how to get about it. If you want a manual to follow so you can rinse and repeat, this job and our business is not a good fit for you.
  • You are looking to clock out at 5pm every day and have the same exact schedule every day with no interruptions

The Nitty Gritty
  1. Develop annual sales plan with the management team, detailing activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the position on meeting or exceeding sales quota. 
  2. Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers. 
  3. Consultatively sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients using various products and Brand Standards. 
  4. Identify sales prospects and contact these using a “drill down” and “share of wallet” concept. 
  5. Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking. 
  6. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone, marketing and field activity. 
  7. Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of a Contact Management program to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential. 
  8. Develop a complete understanding of pricing and proposal models
  9. Complete all paperwork and follow established center procedures from initiation through completion of a project (i.e., Work Order, credit approvals, POS entry, pre-payment collection, artwork approval, delinquent account collection, reporting).
  10. Prepare presentations, estimates and sales contracts.
  11. Establish and maintain estimate follow-up procedures.
  12. Prepare status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals for weekly sales meetings.
  13. Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed. 
  14. Carry out market research; i.e. competitive shops and customer surveys
  15. Identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues. 

  16. Establish and maintain effective team relationships with all support departments.

  17. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  18. Participate in and practice the brand mentality of “Everybody Sells”. Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center.
  19. Serve as a backup for answering the phone if the Franchisee, manager and sales/service employees are busy assisting other customers.
  20. Assist at the front counter as needed. 
  21. Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Participate in networking and marketing events such as seminars, referral groups, trade shows, and telemarketing programs. 
  2. Assist in collection of account receivables.
  3. Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services. 
  4. Conduct and/or supervise minor installations (i.e., RTA).
  5. Coordinate various tasks & scheduling activities to ensure quality project management.


WORKING CONDITIONS
  1. Working conditions are normal for an office and a light manufacturing environment. Report to the manager.
  2. Work may require occasional overnight travel, weekend and/or evenings.

Compensation: $4,000.00 per month
